My Adventurous Fashion Week Tales You On Here » My Adventurous Fashion Week Tales

Remember how I missed the bus for my last trip to NY? Well, let's just say I was 30 seconds shy of it happening again. Christina and Teri will tell you--I am as slow as a snail when it comes to getting ready and I am always "fashionably" late. Luckily, the bus driver decided to open up the door and let me in--thanks Martz Trailways!

(Bryant Park--The Tents)

I arrived in the city and chatted with Christina and Teri over shrimp cocktail at a restaurant that I don't even remember the name of. I do remember however, the old guy sitting next to me at the bar who just kept bragging about God knows what (to himself) that I really wished would've piped it down. After some delish shrimp (and Teri's million meatball pasta dish) we headed to the Flat Iron district to meet up with Trae and Chad from 3 Custom Color Specialists. I got a fabulous makeover from Chad while the 3 of us did a video chock full of great makeup tips. (That video will be up on Makeup Minute once edited.)

Later that night I went to the nomination party for The Fabbies to hear A Girl's Gotta Spa! officially nominated in the beauty category (go me!) I got to finally put faces to blogs like Daniel from Fashion Indie, the fab team at Style Hive, Julia from Style Goodies, Todd from The Fashioniste, Yule from My It Things and see some old friends like Lauren from Second City Style, Nichelle from 55 Secret Street and Lesley from Fashion Tribes. Plus Avenue A Sushi is quite delish.

After The Fabbies, we headed to Havana to meet with some of the girls from Total Beauty. It was fun chatting until midnight and taking back to my hotel the most delicious chocolate mud pie in the world.

I hit the pillow at about 1am--and no Teri you don't snore. Or if you do--I was just too tired to notice!
