Paris Fashion Week: Lanvin Spring 2011

I really wanted to see what Lanvin was offering for Spring 2011 since they're about to do a collaboration with H&M next month (launching November '10. Can't wait to see what they do..). Loved this fierce group of models above. Check out the video below to see a few Spring 2011 pieces from Lanvin yourself.

CHANEL: Lipstick is Back.

The red lips at last week's Chanel show? According to the brand's global creative director of makeup, Peter Philips, they're a little bit couture and a little bit rock 'n' roll. In other words: Coco meets Courtney Love. This video definitely makes me wanna wear a red lip more often.

ELIE SAAB: Fall/Winter 2010 Haute Couture [VIDEO]

Before the show, Elie Saab said, "If a woman doesn't want 'rich,' she doesn't come to couture." So rich was what he gave her. Elie Saab is a proven master of red-carpet dressing, and it showed in his 2010 fall/winter runway show (remember Halle Berry's Oscar winning dress? That was Elie Saab). The show didn't go off without a hitch though. There was a tumble. Or two. See the vid below:

CHANEL: Fall/Winter 2010 Haute Couture [VIDEO]

I've never been one to swoon over anything CHANEL just because it's, well... CHANEL. I've said in earlier posts that most of the time, the brand always seems like "lady who lunches" to me. And don't even get me started on that CHANEL disaster that Kristin Stewart wore on the red carpet recently. *blech* I don't think they could have made that dress look any cheaper if they tried. All that being said, this fall/winter CHANEL collection didn't completely turn me off. The plaid ensemble in the middle (above) I loved. The layered short over long, the flowy blouse and the fact that I usually think plaid is never wrong is all working in its favor. CHANEL still sent its usual "rich lady who lunches" looks down the runway, but then Karl kinda veered towards Middle East luxe towards the end of his show which was a bit of a departure and mildly refreshing. Check out the vid for a few more looks from CHANEL'S Fall/Winter Haute Couture runway show straight from Paris below.

Paris Fashion Week Fall 2010 RTW Highlights [VIDEO]...

Fashion in Paris! The two seem to go hand in hand, no? Paris showed a new kind of "power dressing" on the runways. A return to clean minimalism, a blending of "real" and "fake" [fur] and the continued use of REAL women on the runways (you know, more than a size 0, 2 or 4). Check the vid below:
