Style Verdict: Menswear Neckties.

 I'm gonna let you know right now, I'm loving this look. Especially on Leighton Meester. She is rocking it the most fierce IMO. Loving her tailored cropped slacks. I like AnnaLynne's look too with her leather jacket and the pop of color on her shoes, and I probably like Winona's look the least. She's just looking a little sloppy in this pic. Anyhoo, I think sporting a necktie can give a suit or a blouse and pants an unexpected chic look for us girls. I actually already own two neckties (polka dot and striped) and these pics are giving me all kinds of fever! I'm already working out outfit combinations in my head. SWAG ALERT: Asymmetrical Fedora Hats...

I must admit, I've become a little obsessed with the asymmetrical fedora in the last few weeks. I currently own four fedora hats (see me in two of my hats here and here), so why the asymmetrical? I just think the swag level in the asymmetrical fedora is a little more intense. I can go for more intense swag some of the time ;)

On a recent trip to San Francisco, I spotted fashionable women traveling in these hats at the airport and shopping in them in the stores. It's a perfect fall hat silhouette IMO. I asked one girl at H&M as she was coming out of the dressing room where she got her hat from because I loved it. It was simple black with black ribbon belting, no bows, no feathers or anything. She told me that she had gotten her hat from Goorin Brothers right there in San Francisco. We were only there for a short time, so we didn't get to check them out (sad face) but that hasn't stopped me from searching for one high and low online since we returned home. The camel colored one pictured is from Jessica Simpson's hat collection. She also has them in black, charcoal and a wine color, I like Jessica's because the styling of her hats has the simplicity that I'm looking for. This look right here is what I don't want. Not trying to look like a female pimp. So the fit has to be right, which is why my only concern with looking for one online is not being able to try them on. Not really feeling being all excited to see the UPS man delivering my new hat only to find out that I don't like the fit. :-/ So department stores (Macy's J.C. Penney, Dillards) and shoe stores (Nine West, Bakers) are my next best bet I think. I'll keep you posted on what I find :) What are ya'll's thoughts on these hats? Do you like them? Of course she didn't do it first, but she was photographed A LOT this year wearing this look which is why we're starting to see it trickle down. But where exactly could you where this "no pants" style? Honestly speaking, if I were going out for a night of fun times with a group of friends in Vegas, I might go for it. Here at home? I live in a very red state. So yeah. I don't think so.  But I'm not totally against this look. It just has to be the right occasion. And a different city. But enough about what I think, I wanna know what YOU think about this trend. Do you like it? Hate it? Don't care? Would YOU rock it? I wanna know your style verdict.

I recently expressed my fondness for the socks with heels trend and a couple of my friends expressed shock (SHOCK!) that I would like such a thing. I don't really understand myself why I'm feeling it, but I'm feeling it. Although I think I like the trend better with ankle socks vs. calf or knee socks. This trend trickled down from the runways, where it was seen at Burberry, Christian Dior and Prada’s spring shows. InStyle says the trick to rocking this trend is all in the mix. These are not your basic work pants. I've seen them wide-legged, tapered, cropped, pleated, high-waisted, low-waisted and flat front, and I have to say, I'm digging the look.
