My Throbbing Heart

Valentines day is approaching, and Illamasqua has released small collection to celebrate it!

Cult British beauty brand Illamasqua invites you to step into a world where your heart will race and your pulse quicken. Inspired by your Alter Ego’s inner depths of desire, and in celebration of Saint Valentine, the new Throb Collection consists of three new Nail Varnish shades, an Intense Lipgloss and a blood red Lipstick . .
.

Nail Varnish
Throb is a powerful red nail varnish, the colour of blood spilled by desperate, rejected lovers.
Load is a rich, cream coating for the nails
Scorn is a midnight matt finish deep statement of obsession.

Intense Lipgloss
Come out of the shadows with Illamasqua’s high-shine, colour-rich intense lipgloss. Sure to be a cult classic, awaken your mouth’s erotic sensuality with the seductive red of the new Succubus.

Lipstick
Let your lips speak volumes. Indulge in Illamasqua’s colour-intense Lipstick with a highly pigmented formula. Assume the role of a femme fatale with Sangers, Illamasqua’s new blood red lipstick.

The collection isn't big, but I ADORE the promopics!
Illamasqua always knows how to inspire!

I got so inspired of the pics, that I wanted to recreate the look.
I added some of my own to the look (lips, heart shape etc), and I could have done it better, but... Well, no can do ;D

I used so many different products I'm not gonna even try to list them. :P

But on the lips there is Illamasqua Sangers lipstick (with Perform intense lipgloss):

I already had one red lipstick from Illamasqua (Faust), and it's a little bit darker red, and more colder.
Sangers is kinda like the "firetruck red". It's a bit dry (like all the other Illamasqua lipsticks I own, but easy to use and blend. And it's quite longlasting too!

And here's Throb nail varnish (with Illamasqua Boosh nail varnish):

Throb is really pretty bright redred. I own several red nail laquers, but none of them is quite like this one. I can't point what's different in the color, but there's something :D

A Tartan Haul

Hahaa, finally, Tartan!

I didn't really wait this collection, but I ended up hauling quite much :3
My original plan was to get only the pigments, but I got interested in one of the palettes, and ended up getting two more pearlglides as well.

Pigments:
  • Moonlight Night
  • Later.
  • The Family Crest
Palette:
  • Beauties Play It Cool
Pearlglide Pencils:
  • Black Line
  • Petrol Blue
  • (Undercurrent)
Misc (these were ordered from thebodyneeds.com):
  • Tartan bag
  • Zoom Lash mascara

Let's start with the palette, 6 Beauties Play It Cool :

First the packaging:

Then the colors:
Silverwear, Hold My Gaze, To The Ball
Altered State, Magic Moor, Heather Belles

Then swatches:

My favourites:
Hold My Gaze. OMFG. I love it. It's gray and golden, sorta platinum shade. Love!
To the Ball is also really awesome, true matte (well, SATIN) , but still really pigmented. I guess this is taupe?
Silverwear is great highlighter for coller looks.
Heather Belles is really slightly shimmery grayish black, great one to deepen looks.

Swatches on lid:

One more thing about the palette.
The "brush" that came with the palette:
"China" is the only thing it says. Doesn't really make me thrust it :3

Then the pencils:

I owned Undercurrent already, but since it's part of Tartan collection, I swatched that one too:

Pure awesomeness. They last great, are supersoft and look amazing. What else can you ask?

Then the pigments:

Funny enough, these were the things I wanted the most, but the one that really won me over was the palette :D

I mean, these nothing wrong with these, the all are really awesome:
I especially love The Family Crest!

Here's some looks I've done with these:

Hold My Gaze + The Family Crest

Construtivist paint pot + The Family Crest + Black Line

Undercurrent + Moonlight Night

Undercurrent + Partylicious + If  It Sparkes.. + Later + Petrol Blue + MUFE 12L pencil on waterline

There's a tiger in the jungle!

Hola!

I've been hauling a bit lately :3

Here's my new babies:

I'll write more about them in my next post, I'll do some looks and swatches too :D

Here's my look from day before yesterday, done with Fyrinnae:
Sorry for the bad pic, but it was the only one that captured the color right :S

Here's how the pics turned out with my DSLR:

I also wanted to try my new peacock lashes with this one, but it didn't quite work out:

Here's my yesterday's look, done with Joe Blasco's Jazzy Grape:

Then my "DIY-Minx" nails with Sephora's nail stickers:

Formidable Wrong Spell

Hello!

There's something I'd like to show you:

MAc lipglass from Venomous Villains, called Wrong Spell.

It's brownish, reddish purple with blue/pink/purple sparkle.
This is how it looks on lips:

But what if we add a base like this?

We get this:

Awesome, isn't it!

And swatches, on the left it's with out base, on the right it's swatched over Lumene lip pencil in Salvia:

Then one of the Venomous nail laquers, Formidable!:
On the nails.
Formidable! is kinda purple-brown based color with blue flash, as well as teal & red & purple glitters,
lovely color.

Actually it's such a lovely color, that I decided to try to replicate it to my makeup today:

I used:
MAC Blue Brown pigment
MAC My Dark Magic (magenta side)
MAC Reflects Transparent Teal
MAC Reflects Rust
MAC Cloudbound

They looked a lot same in person, camera just couldn't catch it that well.

One more pic, taken with my phone:

Then a sneakpeek to what I've gotten, what's coming up etc:

And last and least, hat as a matter:
