E Online is reporting that Gabby is set to host an upcoming episode of Saturday Night Live and I for one cannot wait to see her bring the funny. She's said in recent interviews that she was ready to do comedy (who wouldn't be after "Precious") and then all of a sudden, POW! She's hosting SNL! No word on the exact date yet. But Gabby has a few other irons in the fire too. She has a recurring role on Showtime's upcoming The Big C, about a teacher (Laura Linney) living with cancer. Sidibe plays one of her sassy students. The series, which is set to premiere in August, also costars Oliver Platt.
