The "No Makeup" Look You On Here » The "No Makeup" Look

While there is nothing better than looking fabulous in that great shade of eyeshadow or favorite "look at my lips" lipstick, nothing looks worse in 90 degree weather than looking overdone. Whether you want to give yourself a break from layers of cosmetics or you just want that fresh natural look, the no makeup look is perfect for anyone.

First, let's not kid ourselves...the No Makeup Look indeed involves makeup. Things to keep in mind is to always use brushes and blending wedges to apply and blend makeup so that you are not spreading bacteria from your fingers and any excess oils.

After cleansing your skin, you'll want to apply an oil-free moisturizer. I personally use Country Bunny Bath & Body's Enriched Daily Moisturizer with Soy, which is petroleum and mineral oil free. There are some other great oil-free moisturizer's out there like H20+'s Face Oasis Plus Hydrating Fluid with SPF 15icon and Benefit's "You Rebel," which is a tinted moisturizer (good for all skin types) with SPF15.

Next apply a concealer to even out blotchy or uneven skin tones. Benefit Cosmetics has a great concealing cream called "Boi-ing." They also have a melon-tinted soft concealer powder called "Get even," which evens out skin tone and shine (best for girls like me with T-zone skin). Be sure to chose a shade that blends well with your skin; nothing too light or too dark. If you are trying to conceal blemishes that are close to your eye area, it's best to use a concealer a shade lighter than your skin tone. What I also like about Get Even, is that it can also be used as your Foundation, which is what you want to apply next.

I personally do not like wearing liquid foundation during the heat of the day, but Non-Fiction is great to wear for a night on the town. It comes in 10 great shades, beginning with light beige for fair skin and cocoa brown for dark skin.

Once you've applied foundation, you will want to set it with a loose translucent powder like Bluff Dust or Estee Lauder's Lucidity Translucent Loose Powder (both come with a puff).

For your eyes you can apply Lemon-aid for eyes to even out any uneveness. It is a yellow cream, which works well for that natural look. You can also use a pale matte eyeshadow on your lid and sweep a darker color over the base and then blend the two together.

Curl your lashes and apply clear mascaraicon or brown/black, but be sure to only use a few coats as you don't want to over do it.

Apply a pale blush to the apples of your cheeks like Georgia (peach) or Dandelion (pink) from Benefit.

I like to line and shade in my lips using a lip pencil color close to that of my true lip color. For that I use e.l.f's Feather Proof Moisturizing Lip Pencil in Mauve Luxe. It stays on long and keeps my gloss in place. Also, because it matches my natural lip color it only appears to define my natural lip line and not make it stand out with my "No Makeup" look.

Lastly apply a lip tint or light gloss to your lips. Don't go overboard with bright vibriant colors. Keep it low key and simple. I personally love e.l.f's Super Glossy Lip Shine with SPF 15 (see review here). The box set ranges from clear to a slighter brighter pink. My favorite of the box set is Malt Shake, which is a nice mauve and matches my Feather Proof Pencil.

Voila! You have created a more natural look that will showcase your natural glow. Just be sure to touch up with loose powder throughout the day as necessary.

Something worth considering:
